Keep calling Congressmen/Congresswomen to stop this insanity!
Call your Congressman if you like medical care provided by doctors who are solo or in small groups:
Do you want a doctor that gives you personal service? One provision of the Obamacare, laid out in Section 3022, allows doctors to share with the government any savings to the government they achieve by delivering less care—but only if physicians are part of groups caring for more than 5,000 Medicare patients.
Do you want your doctor to refer you to who you need to see or would you rather he consider his wallet first: Primary-care doctors who refer patients to specialists will face financial penalties under the plan. Doctors will see 5% of their Medicare pay cut when their “aggregated” use of resources is “at or above the 90th percentile of national utilization,” according to the chairman’s mark of Section 3003 of the bill. Doctors will feel financial pressure to limit referrals to costly specialists like surgeons, since these penalties will put the referring physician on the hook for the cost of the referral and perhaps any resulting procedures
This is the type of things you will find in this poorly crafted healthcare bill. It does not really address the issues of healthcare.
Is this the way to get "uninsured" on the insurance rolls: One great idea int there is to expand Medicaid by 18 million patients. (the ones on medicaid now already can't find a doctor)
Would you like to wait longer to see your doctor: New England Journal of Medicine: 1/3 of Doctors are either going to cut back or retire if this passes.
NO malpractice reform.
This bill is not about helping Americans get health care. It is about taking control of a huge part of the economy.
