The 9-12 Project of Central PA

"You Are NOT Alone!"

One thing struck me during the Boalsburg parade. Nobody knew who we were, or what our purpose was. All we had to give out were pocket constitutions, and the little fliers with the 9 Principles and 12 Values, that don't really say much about our group.

Now, I am not an editor or publisher, so ignore the crummy typeface used here. But would a statement like this, that we would give out at our next event, be effective?

You Are Losing Your Representative Republic!

We may all disagree with one another on individual policies, but the one purpose that should unite us all is protecting the Constitution. That document protects our rights to disagree, and our freedom to express our views.

Most importantly, the Constitution exists to limit the power of the Federal Government, for when the Federal Government takes more power upon itself, we all have less freedom.

We are The 9-12 Project of Central Pennsylvania

We find that both major political parties, Republicans and Democrats alike, are to blame for the erosion of our Constitutional freedoms.

On September 12, 2001, the day after a major attack against our country, we all came together, united in our grief, and united in purpose.

If we were able to unite on September 12, can we not unite now in a common purpose?

The 9-12 Project of Central Pennsylvania is part of a network of small organizations, growing across the country, that seeks to unite Americans for the purpose of placing our Government back into its Constitutional role, and to restore the Freedoms and Liberties of the people, guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.

If you do nothing, then America will join, in the history books, other Representative Republics that failed because they abandoned their Constitution!

It took a while, but here is a revision that reflects my choice of words. The concept is excellent and I haven't altered that, just tried to add a bit of emotional appeal and rhetoric.

America’s Last Chance

We may disagree with one another on specific issues, but the one purpose that should unite us all is that of reversing the decline of our once great nation. America was once a nation of laws, reason, rights, and justice, guaranteed by our Constitution, the foundation of your liberty and freedom. No more. Today the Constitution is an inconvenient relic regarded with disdain by legislators and bureaucrats alike. Consequently, America has become a shadow of the proud nation that people around the world once admired and looked to for hope. Your rights are quickly evaporating, and the evil that is socialism is fast destroying the very freedoms that made America’s greatness possible.
The Constitution exists to limit the power of the Federal Government, and when the government diminishes the Constitution, it does so at the expense of your freedom.

Thanks for your comments Greg. I changed the text to use your wording, on the Main page of this site. The only wording I did not use, was the "grass-roots" sentence.

I feel like that term is used so often, it is kind of meaningless now. Many liberal groups called themselves "grass roots" organizations, even though they were funded with millions of dollars from Soros, or some other big money interest. I really don't like the term, and I don't want to create an impression in peoples' minds, that we are somehow the same as those other groups.
