"You Are NOT Alone!"

I got to thingking about the comment at the meeting tonight.Frist thing that hit me was over 60 mil people did not vote for Obama .They were votes for Mcain
2nd I feel 1/3 that did vote for Obama are more than likely regreating it.......3rd the Independent vote in Mass says alot.
Ok do the math .They say there are a little over 300 mil people in the USA less than half that dont even vote. That takes us to around 150 mil.
So you take over 60 mil and another 20 mil who I would bet regreat it that they voted for Obama, and that still doenst count the INDEPENDENT vote. I feel we are around 110 mil strong now. Out numbered I dont think so. But food for thought.

In a democracy, numbers mean everything. In a group of 10, democratic principals would allow 6 to vote away your rights or property. Thankfully, numbers aren't the most important thing in a Constitutional Republic. The rule of law is. In America, the Constitution is the supreme law of the land. The Constitution calls for the government to protect the rights of the individual, especially when he happens to be in the minority.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of governement. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years."

"It doesn't take a majority to prevail, but rather a tireless, irate minority keen to set brushfires in peoples' minds."

It kills me when they claim a mandate and the reality is that the majority of Americans didn't vote for them, either they voted for someone else of withheld their vote entirely because there was no worthy candidate.
