I am an electrical engineer, with years of experience working with computer circuitry and software. I have built my own computers, and am good at repairing computers, and other electronics. In my work, I have done extensive programming, in a variety of environments and languages.

I have a very good technical understanding of the internet - how web sites work, how email works, how names (such as google.com) are handled, and how data is transfered over the internet. I am not really a web designer, but I know how to establish web sites, and how to program them.

Although I haven't been active lately, I am an amateur radio operator (ham radio). Amateur radio operators exist, to serve as a means of communications in times of disaster, when more sophisticated means of communications (telephone, cell phone, internet, etc.) have failed.
I have a MS in Math. Although my education is in "pure" math, I have been teaching middle school for about 10 years at a charter school. I love sharing my knowledge of math with kids and would be willing to help occasionally if a family has need for some math support.

History was never my topic of interest and wouldn't be today if it weren't for my concern with the situation in Washington. I hope that as my knowledge grows, so will my fondness for the subject.

I am a skeptic. I am not a leader, a speaker, or a writer, but I am good at research and not bad at editing. I like to learn and I don't like to be wrong. Often my first opinion expressed on a topic is based on feelings or common sense, and is usually an invitation for enlightenment. But if I come back the next day or next week and express the same view, I have probably researched it thoroughly. I try always to make it clear whether I am giving an opinion or stating a fact and I have a pretty low tolerance for anyone who expresses opinion as fact, or who accepts information as fact without verification.

I am not sure what my skills bring to the 912 Project but I look forward to helping where I can.
OK Peter, here goes.
You can write articles about your subjects of interest on the web-site, or share books or other materials.

One of my main interests is the 2nd Amendment and the fact that we need to be responsible for the safety of our loved ones and ourselves. The government and authorities can't and won't in many cases be there to help if the SHTF. With my interest in this topic I will try to link information that may be useful and timely to others. This information can be found in the Friends of the 2nd Amendment group as well as in "Corks Concealed Carry Corner...and other links documenting how legal gun owners have (could have) saved lives - LEGALLY !!"

There is no telling how any skill or talent, no matter how minor it may seem, might become very valuable in certain situations.

From a background stand point and what may be helpful to our group or other businesses, I have a Psychology degree centering on Business and Social Psychology. I have been in the sales/service industry since before I could drive. Mom and Dad had to drive me for about 6 months before I could get my license.

If there would be 1 thing that I could put my finger on it would be that I can talk to anyone; individuals, large or small groups, about topics that I know or am passionate about. While working in radio sales I discovered that relationship building and commercial writing are 2 things I enjoy.

To me - It is better to grow a long term relationship with a customer than to just go in for a quick sale "for the money".

I love to argue, debate and learn. I am becoming more politically active. I am not afraid to try new things. I welcome having my beliefs challenged.

I am not a leader. I have managed people at the retail store level and have been a District Manager with 6 stores in my area. Through those experiences I have discovered that I am a "doer" or possibly an "informal leader" - but not a leader.

I am more than willing to help others in group projects as time permits. Remember what a barn raising is? One recent example is when many parents used our labor to put in the new school playground at Pleasant Gap Elementary School. New about 9 (?) years ago. LOL How time does fly.

Well - I leave it up to others to see if there is anything of value to the group, businesses or individuals. If there is a need, PLEASE JUST ASK. If I can, I will.
I am one of 5 children, a NJ native (insert jokes...hahaha) but have transplanted to the western PA lifestyle and continue to do so. I am most certainly the princess of my family, I was without a doubt the child who stood in the bathroom and screamed bloody murder at the site of an ant. I walked off a soccer field at age 4 and told my father I did not like playing because "I had to sweat."

It has taken many years, and tremendous amounts of patience on both the part of my parents and loving husband, but the little bubble I used to exist in has burst and my eyes have opened to the real world. I now know that the world is a scary place, people are not generally nice, and that if you want something done your better off doing it for yourself.

In the past 3 years I have found an inner strength that I did not previously know I had in having to deal with the injuries that my husband sustained while fighting for freedom in Iraq. His accident reminded me that life is precious, it can come and go in the blink of an eye.

I am a soon to be 26 year old with a bachelor's in history. I have finally realized that there is not much that one can do with a mere bachelor's in history! Therefore, after a ridiculously long length of time and great amount of internal debate I have decided to return to school to ascertain my degree in Constitutional Law.

No one in Washington is defending our great country and fighting for what our forefathers staked there lives on and I am sick and tired of it. America is asleep at the wheel. People are so wrapped up in their own lives that they fail to take notice of the world around them, one that is ever changing. I would like to think that I, one measly little person, can make a difference and that is what I am out to do. My voice will count and will be heard.

I have recently discovered that I enjoy gardening, though I am still new to the trade. I love going to gun range and firing off some rounds, again a relatively new hobby of mine. I do not mind getting my hands dirty and am open to learning new things. Organization is exceedingly important to me...yes, I am a little OCD.

Past that, I love to argue and debate just about anything. I do not like being the center of attention but have no issues taking control and leading the charge. (I know it's a bit of an oxymoron there) I am deeply passionate about the foundations that our country was formed upon and want our fellow citizens to be reeducated! As Glenn Beck likes to say, "WAKE UP AMERICA!!!"

I am fiercely dedicated to family and the moral basis that constitutes a family. Too many people fail to remember anymore that your family is your life line. Families do not necessarily need to be that which you were born into, for far too many people are born into rotten homes. You can make your own family. And that is what we are doing here with the 912 Project, developing a new family and community where we can share and depend upon one another.
I feel like the odd man out, LOL. I don't have a college degree (yet, looking to start in the fall). I like to say my degree is in life.

I am a husband, a father to two young daughters, a Marine (though not active anymore), and a corrections officer. I served 5 years in the Marine Corps including a tour in Afghanistan, a tour in Iraq, and time spent in Africa doing humanitarian missions. I was a corrections officer with the state of Florida and now I am a corrections officer in PA.

Bearing all of that in mind, I have experience dealing with all walks of life, I have handled many a touchy situation and if it's one thing I know its how to lead. They key, I believe is relating to someone on their experiences. I have dealt with people that come from money, and people that have nothing left to live for, and all of those in between.

I love to debate. I am quite passionate about our country and the many freedoms that we have been given by our creator. I love to research, I don't like to debate things that I have no factual information on. I am shy at first but I like meeting new people and listening to their experiences and viewpoints on life. Once you get me fired up, I can go on talking forever.

I have always been interested in politics and would one day like to further my career serving the public in government. I want to bring morals back to this country, it seems we have forgotten the foundation of what made this country great. When I meet someone who commited a crime and is serving 5 years and I meet someone else who is serving 2 years for the same crime; it reminds me of how the justice system at some point took off the blindfold and became unfair. I am honest (sometimes more than I should be). One reason I am honest is because it is alot easier to fix a problem if you confront it better than if you skate around the truth. The other reason personally is that I left part of my short-term memory in Iraq and I couldn't remember what lies I did tell.

I believe in hard work. I joined the Corps in 2000, before the USS Cole got bombed. All I had was a seabag and some uniforms and boots. Since then I have built a life, a family, and I am very proud of what I have accomplished in life. It makes me even more angry to find out that after I did everything I was supposed to do, I served my country, I pay my bills, and yes, I did pay my taxes; that now I have to pay for the mistakes of others. I remember this country being great because when we fail, we pick ourselves back up, learn from our mistakes, and move on. I am frustrated to now see a government that says, " its alright, we won't let you fail, your bills are too much, we will help you pay."

Being as I am so proud of what I have accomplished, I encourage people to go after theirs. In the face of adversity, the challenge, is what makes an accomplishment so much sweeter. I belive highly in personal responsability. I follow a budget and when things don't add up, I make sacrifices. I don't need satalite radio, or satelite TV; these are wants not necesseties. I beleive our federal government needs to make a budget and stick to it. Not in the red. If you need to sacrifice then do so. The president can cook his own food. A congressman can get his own coffee. A judge can do their own research (they are supposed to be experts, that why they are judges and not just lawyers). And please, you make enough money, can't you pay your own rent for an office, or drive your own car and pay for you own gas? See how much money I just saved.

I beleive it is important for our elected representatives to have a strong stance on issues, but the decisions aren't totally up to them, they have a responsibility to those they represent. (That is why Arlen Spector cannot be re-elected, he didn't listen to his constituants and that is why he had to jump ship to another party.)

Accountability and trasperancy are important. We gave out billions to banks and we don't know where it went to. If the CEO of a bank lent money to someone and didn't get repaid but couldn't tell you where the money went he would be fired. Are you getting this Washington.

Overall, we just need honesty, integrity, and morals in the government again. Also, while were at it, could we put somebody in congress that ISN'T a lawyer.

Just know I am a hard working American that is tired of the political "elite" in DC playing by their own rules, and I want to stand up and fight for the rights of other hard working Americans that want to succeed on their own without Federal help.
