Corbett backs out of debate with Rohrer

Tom Corbett has pulled out of his face-to-face debate with Sam Rohrer, which was scheduled for this Friday on PCN, to be re-aired until the primary on the 18th.   The Attorney General's election team had initially confirmed Corbett would participate, and then he backed out.

 

Corbett may look at polls and think he has nothing to gain by appearing, and only risk making another blunder like telling his true feeling that the Constitution is a "living document", to be interpreted depending on the variable winds of whatever the popular opinion is on any given day. Corbett may also want to deny Rohrer a televised venue where people can get a true read on Sam's character and ideals.  This would not be good for Tom Corbett.  Corbett comes across as a typical "politician" out to work the system to sustain his own best interests.  When you see and hear Sam Rohrer, you feel - you just know on an inner level - you are in the presence of a Patriot.
