Event Description

Use the upper enterrance. There should be signs directing you to our meeting!

This General Meeting is an important one, as it occurs before a series of key events for our group, including:

- 8/12 Senator Specter's appearance in State College
- 8/15 Nick Adam's Chicken Cookout Fund Raiser
- 8/22 National Recess Rally Against Government Healthcare
- 9/12 The Bus Trip

I have been reviewing video from other recent Town Hall meetings with Senators, and they are starting to prepare for confrontations with groups like ours. We should be prepared as well!

All preliminary work to set up the Bus Trip has been finished, and we are ready to promote the trip. At this meeting, we will tell you what you can do to help, and how to sign up!

Our group's first non-provisional election is set to occur in September. We must nominate candidates in August.

So, please plan to attend! As you can tell from our site, we are getting very active, and we need help from everyone!

P.S. A special suprise guest is scheduled to speak at this meeting!

Comment by William Ames on August 5, 2009 at 10:31am: I'm really looking forward to brainstorming for the Spectre (sic) meeting. It should be a lot of fun and quite productive. If at all possible, we should try to get audio and/or video of it.

Comment by Cathy on August 7, 2009 at 12:01am: Peter - will probably see you on Aug. 12 for the "welcome party" for Specter. I just saw that the Patient's First tour bus will be there, too, and then stopping in Altoona later that morning! Cathy
