Important notes

If traffic and DC Police are agreeable, it may be possible for the bus to drop us off near the capitol and avoid the Metro. We’ll know more when we get close to DC.

Be sure to bring your well charged cell phone and give us your number when boarding so we can be in touch if there are changes in our plans. If you get separated, lost, or have a problem, well have a phone number for you to call.

If you are bringing a sign, please be sure it reflects positively on our group. DC has strict rules about signs, so be sure the handle is 1” in diameter or smaller.

DC and the Capitol offices have some very strict rules. No knives of any sort, no spent cartridge cigar tools, nothing that can possibly be imagined to be a weapon.

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking and standing quite a bit. We will be calling on members of Congress, so please dress in a manner that they will perceive positively. Like it or not, impressions are important.

It’s going to be a long day, so bring water and snacks. But remember, you cannot take these into the congressional offices.

Don’t get lost or left behind - print this and bring it along with you!
