Asked About Rising Gas Prices, Obama Says, 'Think About A Trade-In'

Are you kidding me?!  Does this man live in a parallel Universe?!

 

Once again proving that he is totally out of touch with the realities of life that we Plebeians face all day every day, our President, in response to a question about sky-rocketing gas prices, actually said “….you may want to think about a trade-in….you can get a great deal.  I promise you GM or Ford or Chrysler... their goin' to be happy to give you a deal….”

 

He stated this after talking about long term fixes like increasing oil production (that must be the oil production his administration has hindered at every possible opportunity), using more efficient cars (that must be the $40,000 Chevy Volt), and shifting to electric cars (that must be the $110,000 - $130,000+ high efficiency Tesla) and more efficient forms of transportation (that must be the high-speed rail talked about since Disneyland was built).

 

Thank you, Mr. President for that sage advice; those wise words of wisdom; that insightful response to people who are just trying to get to and from a low paying job, if they are lucky enough to have one, eat, and keep a roof over their head.  Since most of us can barely afford to put gas into our aging vehicles, keep them going, and certainly cannot afford a new car no matter how great the deal, your response is doubly useful.  I know I am wiser for it.
