I've got to disagree that rules are necessary or desirable regarding firearms. The right to life and the rights to think and act are fundamental and cannot be questioned. Possession and use of firearms are only extensions of these rights, just as are possession and use of books, computers, and cars. Would you care to give government the power to control these?

Don't let the progressives poison your thoughts. You were born with the right to own and use firearms, books, etc., so don't be quick to compromise your rights.

I understand your point and the answer is an absolute "NO". I guess what we just need to be careful of is when firearms are purchased by those who have an intent to cause harm. I may have mis spoke. This is also why I also point out that people need to have firearms in case of that event. I guess the point I was trying to make is, we need to have rules in place in the event of a person who has a criminal history. I personally feel convicted felons do not have a right to bear arms. But that also leads into another topic of out prison system. But that discussion is for another day.
Thanks for your comment! Sorry I may have mis spoke.
