Tell Him to Stop All Bargaining of America’s Security

Reports say that Republican Senators are close to giving Obama the New START treaty in exchange for votes on short term extension of tax rates. The early negotiations by Senator Kyl and others have opened the door to the Obama administration’s frantic deal-making.

Tell Senator McConnell, the Republican Leader, to stop all political dealing on the New START treaty by Senate Republicans.

CNN is reporting that “a Democratic source also says they are hoping an agreement on taxes will get a "wink, wink, nod, nod," from Republican Senator Jon Kyl, Arizona, on moving forward with treaty ratification.”

Americans rejected this kind of backroom dealing in November. Senators should never trade America’s security for anything else, especially in a “wink, wink, nod, nod” deal.

Call Senator McConnell. Tell him that America’s security not a barg....

It’s critical to make the call before this weekend, when final deals are expected to occur.
