Event Description

Dr. Tom G. Palmer, Cato Institute Senior Fellow and Vice-President for International Programs at the Atlas Economic Research Foundation, will show how private enterprise, the free market and not the government can best prepare for natural disasters.

Dr. Palmer is the author of the recently published book Realizing Freedom.

Dr. Palmer will be speaking February 22nd at 7 pm in 101 Thomas.

Dr. Palmer will also speak at 1 p.m on Feb. 22 in room 232 of the Katz Law Building about his experience in the Second Amendment case District of Columbia vs. Heller, which protected individual rights to own firearms. He was a plaintiff and organizer. Lunch will be provided.

These lectures are sponsored by the Penn State Students for Liberty, the Austrian Economics Society, the College Libertarians and the Federalist Society at the Dickinson School of Law
